I sleep 10,000 years every night I close my eyes

should I close them but for a moment
to manage another days labor
torn from my hands in alien fashion

or shall I rest my head
cutting out the next theft
while this ‘ere franchise is on the block

better to lay myself out
until all calenders are recalled
and time is immortalized
to awaken fully rested
where our myths and legends
are no longer memories of our future
but our children’s present

but,
no

perchance to see my dreams
I shall keep my eyes open
so that I may live 10,000 years
in each day

GOTTA LIKE IT....

I know this one is your baby. You nailed it. It is deep

and yet easy for even me to understand. "better to lay.."

a great verse.
