cracked and crushed by some unknown force,
washed up on some forgotten shore.
It was made to tell time,
but it speaks a silent testament of
its creators.
In the vastness of this small, fragile world,
this small fragile thing is all that remains of us.
We were cracked and crushed by time,
generations faded to dust,
because our ambition exceeded our humility.
Who knows what new life these seas will birth?
I pray they will do better.
is not man a better lot than the dinasours?
or the vertibra, are you not content so therefore
wish for better? for who? I enjoyed the poem, it raised a few questions, but from where I am sitting, the world is not perfect, but getting there,
Liked it alot. Loved
the last two lines
Who knows what new life these seas will birth?
I pray they will do better.
Greats stuff,
Thanks.
