Alone in a wind of confusion,
In the middle of, an elaborate maze.
A labyrinth, gothic and medieval
Yet totally encompassing the scope of my mind.
Has me forgotten in the minds
Of those terrible beings, so malicious and cruel.
And slay me to their cold hard floors,
Where I have called home all these long years.
Where I am the savior of my cause,
Is such a far away place from here.
A place free and devoid of any misconduct,
A haven for my exhausted soul,
Perhaps a secret, far away and hidden?
But now I lie in the middle of my angst,
Ridden and torn apart like
A ship’s sail in the middle of a winter storm.
They point and laugh at such ridicule
An animal prized for its beauty and glory.
Unknown in the eyes of hatred and obscurity
I am nothing but the thought of damnation.
And as I stand to receive my punishment,
Vicious and gruesome in its nature,
I look at thee with innocent eyes,
And lay down my arms to your force
And expose my soul for the entire world to see...
