I look at you sometimes,
knowing full well you really love me
I can't help wondering why.

They say that love is blind
but I say love sees everything
and still is
that's what makes it love.

I could list the reasons why you shouldn't love me
but I know what makes me beautiful in your eyes;

I see it when I touch you softly
and look at you
like you're the only thing
in that moment
alive in the universe.

Sometimes hun,
you really are.

I see what your eyes say when words are not enough
your lips are silent
but your eyes speak the truth according to your heart.
such moments leave me breathless.

You know enough to know what really makes me beautiful
isn't flesh and blood
but spirit and essence.

You see past what most can not
you see with your heart
you feel with your soul
you sing with your essence
and then I know why;

I look at you sometimes knowing full well
I love you too.
