this wasn't planned; this burst of heaven,
your sparkling dark eyes warming my thoughts, awakening my soul like a cup of black coffee on a bleak february morning.
the touch that brings a sky full of stars on even the cloudiest of nights.
but its mine to cherish now; tucked safely away with my own heart.
cradled with all the tenderness and sanctuary given to a newborn child.

I am the lucky one.
