Forbidden fantasies
indulged
in supply closets
and dressing rooms
and your friends say
be careful
it’s a slippery slope

She laughs,
“there’s no slope,
it’s straight down,”
fast
frightening
fucking
free
fall
down,
to where you wake up
in the wrong bed,
with the wrong woman,
and you wonder
about right or wrong,
until you look over
to where she is
lying next to you
staring at the ceiling
with the same thoughts.

And you look in her eyes
and realize
that it’s not about
right or wrong,
but why
or why not
and whether you
knew her before
and when
and what you can learn
about her
and what that
will teach you
about yourself,
and she is all that matters.

I really enjoyed this:

"And you look in her eyes

and realize

that it’s not about

right or wrong,

but why"

Damn, Belle!

Your words shake my foundations! All so true -- and it hurts, doesn't it? ~Imp
