They say it is always darkest
just before the dawn
yet tonight a strange luminosity
hangs in the air
as I wake
with my mind
going a million miles an hour.

I nestle my erection
against the crack of your ass
but you are sound asleep
and I need to pee.

I squat in the dark,
my piss coming
in short jerks
then back to bed
and sleep.
