Love, what is love?
Love is the smile on her face
Love is the twinkle in her eyes
Love is the way my heart skips a beat whenever she’s around
Love is the way she’s always on my mind
Love is my need for her my passion, my hunger, my desire.

She came into my life like a feather on the wind
So quiet and un assuming but a picture of beauty
She shared with me her thoughts and dreams
We laughed and joked and flirted and teased
She fell for me and I fell for her
Two hearts wanting each other but miles apart.

She said “you mean the world to me”
She not only meant the world to me but when she was close she was my world
My sun, my moon, my stars.
She was my Venus, my Aphrodite the woman of my dreams.
In my sleep I held her close, kissed her loved her comforted her
In those moments neither time, nor distance nor the world could tear us apart

It is better to have loved and lost than never loved at all
That’s what they say. To have felt love to have been able to taste it, feel it
That feeling where every moment shared is more precious than the last
Where time stands still and you are together for ever as one.

A moment in time. So brief so fragile yet so wondrously pure
A memory created and stored forever like a photo etched into your soul
I knew her little but loved her a lot
To hold her in my arms and love her
The gift of a dream come true.

She’s gone now, a love I lost.
My heart is sad for the loss of love for the unfulfilled dreams
For tender moments unshared and emptiness that’s left behind.
But inside my heart there is a spark of joy, a flicker of happiness
For I know she is happy and her love knows no bounds

Like a grain of sand in an hour glass she has gone
She will not be forgotten amongst the sands of time
For she touched my heart, She made me feel alive again
Time will come and go and things may never be the same
I will hope that someday fate will let us meet once more
If not in life then let us meet in heaven, For she is an angel
Farewell my friend, my love I will remember you forever
