A journey cannot begin without a step.
My steps had brought me close to heaven's door,
But would not stop where once they stopped before,
With trepidation in my breast I stop,
But from that icy precipice I plunge,
Into a world of heated bliss I lunge.

A journey cannot end without remorse.
It seems that every stay is all too brief,
The only company we keep is grief,
And lies leave throats until those throats grow hoarse.
The end pretends to be the beginning.
I lost, in the bottom of the inning.

Now solitude is kind enough for me
And she's twice the friend you'd ever be.
