I never thought about marriage when it came to you.

I did with him.

We'd talk of the days and nights we'd spend as Mr. & Mrs.

The children and the dogs and cats.

The white picket fence.

I never had that with you.

You were there and that meant enough.

The future was wide open.

I wanted a future with him.

I got you.

And somehow, that was how it's meant to be.
