Scared is a wild animal in pursuit
The cord popping on one's parachute
Hearing a bump in the dead of night
Or leaving the bar and seeing those blue lights

Scared shouldn't be falling in love
I'm terrified
I'd rather be pursued by a wild animal than you
I know how to handle claws and teeth
I don't know what to do with your heart and soul
I don't know what to do with forever

Sometimes I feel like I'm being chased
Or I'm falling from space
My adrenaline is pumping
That has to mean something

I ask for a sign
Something to help make up my mind
But I have nothing to lose
Because I can make anything a sign if I so choose
