Coughing up blood             the secret is out               the party still rocks on but the emotion has changed
Once it was the time when masqueraded dancers pranced around now the rain has poured the wind has blown off the mask    and no longer does the newness have its smell
The ocean has gone     the land is no more    what is art but space      what is space       no emotion     but there is     there is wonder   there is hope   there is the ability for my heart to be out there again
So the music plays     the people prance    the bodies sway          the mood is set             the air is thick with emotion          there should be a rainbow                      or maybe a snow     what is hope without a little of both                and so the masquerade plays and the filmstrip is popped out of the film player is too busy backstage with the man of her dreams that she does not see the movie has stopped    in her world time has slowed, the only thing that plays is his tongue and the only thing stopped is her heart for she can not breathe for the excitement of being with him
