Mammalian females have special powers
Her proclivities develop the species' male;
Generations pass before her role's seen
But at the end results revealed.

Science had it down pat
A smarter male would evolve from promiscuous mates;
But with field work completed
Theory's been tossed on its ass.

Monogamous females breed smarter companions
While promiscuity breeds mates thick and long that last.
The male's conduct has no impact
It's all about female power.

and then what?

What happens to the male of the species when we find we can have babies without them? So tantalizing ;-) Terrie
