A gentle lure won't affect your discretion.
Good conversation will, surely, not dull
your sense or sensibility. So, mull
the consequence of each frail impression
made upon you.
You know each confession
is to be brushed off, wryly, being full
of sweet deceptions and fine lies. A wall
or Chinese curtain veils your sly expression.
When it crosses your face, you glance away
to attract other interest. Chances
are foolhardy escapades won't pay a sure
dividend.
For the effort, will not weigh
upon your conscience. There are other dances
to be crossed off, before you take the lure.
