Deep blue eyes staring back at me,
Once so full of life now just empty.
I'm trapped by your gaze, wanting to turn away
Hands reaching out to caress my face
Hands once so soft and strong
Now so cold and weak
I flinch away from your cold touch only to be drawn back by your love
Your breathing once so strong and deep
Now turns shallow and ragged
You open your mouth to speak but no words come
I lean down to hold you and kiss your lips
As tears fill your eyes and run down your cheeks
I wipe them away
You whisper, "I love you, this is my day."
As I hold you close we both know this is our last embrace
Death comes cold and silent but you are not alone
I hold you close until you are gone
Death has taken you in his cold embrace
Silently I weep as I lay you down for your eternal sleep
Goodnight My Love...Sweet Dreams
I'll Love You Forever and join you soon
By Deaths' cold hand or mine, I will be there with you.
