emaciated in the summer sun.
lovely yellow feathers like the
last hopes and dreams of the
tired and lonely inhabitants.
poor old Finch, is Jane the one
who’s giving you a bad name?
perhaps it’s the fact that you
are unknown to those who’d
speak poorly of you. One thing
that I know to be true is that
you can find beauty on your
dust-covered, down-trodden
streets. All you have to do is look.
Look closely, find your wings.
......wonder how many people know that Finch and Jane is an area in the Toronto district of North York. It has a high crime rate and a low income population. Thanks for this Sadean, it's a lovely poem that holds up well without my explanation.

All three of your new poems today are very good. I believe this one is my favorite and it has been recommended on literotica's poetry forum in the poem poems review thread.
