Betrayal haunts me, visceral pain
A life kept divided collides together
Unable to deny it further
Whispers of deception bloom in my head
Love balances precariously on secrets and lies
While in tears I dream of deep brown eyes
Yet I cannot shut out eyes of black-rimmed green
Hands over my body, gasps and pleas
God, help me. A heartfelt prayer
Help me loose these chains of passion
And the burning of sweet obsession
Darkness of duplicity swirls in my head
Actions make falsehoods of all I've said
Hell's fires lick me for this lie I've led
Carnal deceit leaves the soul for dead
