A cool summer breeze cascades over the plains
As the grass anticpates the first summer rains
The rain will bring a new hope of life for the land
As God showers the world with his almighty hands

A single drop falls as it kisses the earth
From that single drop, the grass begins a new birth
It will replenish the soul of whom beckons its touch
As more falls, the leaves hold it tightly in a clutch
the first rain of summer, a delight to see
how spectacular a sight, Gods gift to me
I felt his rain as it caressed my face
To be honored enough to witness his grace
amazing how it is able to relieve all the worlds pain
Gods kiss, his first summer rain
