As you lay me down to bed
All the thoughts gone from my head
Loose limbed acceptance of my fate
Any saviours action left to late
Take all I ever had to give
And find in your heart to let me live
Press against my clammy skin
Smear your dominance further in.

As you leave me on my own
All thoughts of freedom flown
With wide eyed looks, and hunted dread
You leave my breathing, still not dead
As you walk towards the door
Money thrown upon the floor
I climb slowely to my feet
And wash away my life defeat.

Back to the corner I shall walk
Where the hungry men do stalk
Flash my wares for all to see
And smile the smile that is not me
With a simple look, and turn of word
I enter back into the herd
Waiting for the wolf one day
To take this sad existance away.
