Fly like a bird
Wild abandoned and free
Soaring gliding flying
Looking down at me

I wonder what you see
With that tiny beady eye
As high over the sea and mountains
You do fly

Wish I could travel with you
Through the clouds of white
Oh to be a bird with wings
Flying with all my might

I’d fly low over the oceans skimming the surface
Then high over the hills
Ignoring all the weather
Going where it takes my will

In the winter months
I’d fly somewhere warm but not hot
Find a place to retire to
A tidy little spot

I’d live my life
All free and easy
Eating drinking
And keeping my mind busy

To live and die as a bird
Would be a dream come true
Who know what my next life will hold
Do you?
