New moon shining its umber cloak,
Illumines the ghost trail of a fairy folk.
They walk by ways both here and gone,
Savoring the breeze of an unseen dawn.

Those sounds you hear that aren’t quite right,
Cricket chirping? mayhap a hint of fright?
Tenseness shudders on unseen road,
Emotions rise and thy faith corrode.

Pass they by your garden gate,
Stay inside and avoid one fate ...
But know you this that once you’ve heard,
That slumberous music your world is blurred.

This night may pass and sun will rise,
You’ll convince yourself it was otherwise ...
But the shining day will not disguise ...
The Folk have marked and will gain their prize.

Folk...

this poem flowed as gentle as a small town creek... its content... cool and refreashing! (~_~)
