I was still so fascinated
when you tried to dance away bed sores and disappointment
Cut that rug or wear it out
Full-blown on the futon, wondering if you'll go outside
maybe hop on down to the record store
or the auto show
Do you think you can make it all the way?
"I lost the steam of life," he said. "I felt empty and pointless."
I can't remember anything I would've done.
In a brave effort of physical dynaism...
"I love you Mark, so much."
"I'm not much for that participating in life stuff."
Tom, you made waiting to die look like getting your ears pierced.
At the end it's like a nuclear war, when your teeth are falling out
and you don't know who you are.
It didn't settle very well, and for that, I am so sorry.
Take good care of my baby...I love you, Tom.

The bravery

of some people in their final moments is breathtaking.

That hits hard....

Like a left hook to the solar plexus, it takes your wind for a while. Powerful.
