On this day a boy arrived.
I am no longer childless, deprived.
On this day a girl was born.
I no longer view the world with scorn.
Instead, I see things with clarity and beauty
and as your father I know my duty
I will feed you, cloth you,
teach you wrong from right
I will love you, scold you,
and hold you so tight.
So many things and to me their new,
because your my children, I love you.
