That which you should not want,
the appeal and excitement it brings
with each needed touch
kiss
word
breath.

That which can make you fly,
the freedom and enchantment unknown
for a passing moment
day
week
lifetime.

That which you should turn from,
but pulls you into its warm embrace
to hold you tenderly
softly
knowingly
forbidden.

And yet, you still want it.
Your soul reaches for it.
You let it draw you in.
The forbidden that feels so right.

A little something to get you thinking — if that which is forbidden feels so right, why is it forbidden? And by whom?
