You came to me silently, in the early morn
You made me smile as we talked, when I was so forlorn
You guided me through the hurt, and take comfort when I say
I will love you, my darling, forever and a day.
You shared your thoughts with me, letting me come in
You told me all about the places you have been
You want to share them with me, if there is a way
I will love you, my darling, forever and a day.
You take me in your arms, where I feel content and warm
You are so protective and keep me safe from harm
You make me feel wonderful with everything you say
I will love you, my darling, forever and a day.
You make me so thankful that our paths have crossed
You found me just in time, without you I'd be lost
You know that I am grateful for the month of May

Rybkaover 20 years agoYou have potential with this poem, unfortunately you let your need to write in a specific form overpower your message. Keep writing. Just remember that what you have to say is usually far more important than how you say it.
