trying to hold on to what i dont see
lost love, no love and death
has taking away a part of me,
born to die with instructions to follow
live by them now dying by them
and now all i see is my own breath,
promised to be loved and never left alone
but here i am cold
still to many unanswered prayers
nothing but darkness and a desperate soul,
no bright light but a hand reaches out
flashes of the past and hate come about,
change was never easy because selfishness rules the world
it consumed me, now look where i am at
another choice and another prayer i shout
still trying to hold on to what i dont see
heaven or hell but this hand comes from a person who once hurt me!!
of all things i tried i did my very best
yet here i am without the art of forgiveness
