I called late last night
Got an answering machine instead of you
So I left my message of adieux

Sadly I must move on
Walk down the lonely path of honesty
Where I will find the truth inside the lies

Lies that were cut from cruel words
Lies that left deep emotional scars
Lies that kept tearing us apart

Before I crawl back on egoless hands and knees
To make love to you on our bed of conciliation
I will wait until truth becomes lucid like water

I will forsake myself of you
Wait until I stop knocking you down
With bitter words of disappointment

Words that were cut from cruel lies
Words that left deep emotional scars
Words that kept tearing us apart
