Wishing, longing to be free
Wishing, weeping relentlessly
Wishing, dreaming of the day
Wishing, wondering what she’ll say
Afraid of being on her own
Afraid always of being alone
Afraid to stand up for what’s “right”
Afraid always of the night
Wanting the blade to go deeper
Wanting death, not just to get sleepier
Wanting the permanent release
Wanting alone, the world she flees
Frozen inside are her cries for help
Frozen- her body as the blow is dealt
Frozen- her face a mask of pain
Frozen inside, she’ll never be the same
