Fragments

bytholepin©

Page by page into emerald oblivion,
Pulped by sea spray and gentle rainskirt,
Dissolved for the last time, this time
Past cheers, regret, breath -
So change must ever be; sweet
Change that shatters like one wildgreen brilliant wave
Or a coming tide, covering what is cherished,
Which even as we need we lose.
