Till human voices wake us
Let us sleep; let us dream
Under the blanket of our security
Under the shadow of our comforts
Let us sleep the deep sleep
In the autumn of life
Wasting days away to nothing
Till Human voices wake us.

The sun rises
The sun sets
And a day unfolds between
I awake in the morning
And at night lay down to dream.

Night begins again
I close my eyes to nothing
But darkness now and then

In the moonlight of romance
In the sunlight of love
When the wind carries
The wings of the dove
Dance with me
In the fields of autumn
Where the green grass grows
Hold me in your eyes forever
Through the long winter snows.

I put my shades on
So the world can't see my eyes
The green mingled
With the tears I cry.
I put my shades on
To hide my soul
From all the secrets
Not meant to know.
Green and Gold
Ah the green fields
My royal carpet unfolds
All the daffodils
My scepter of gold.
