between the sobriety of abstinence
and the incapacity of intoxication,
where the creativity of an inhibited mind
can break free from conscious control.
Spilling out onto the page.
Frightening and yet exhilarating
in its honesty and clarity.
Revealing in stark simplicity
the underlying foundation
upon which the self is formed.
