A chance look, when we meet but do not meet.
Forever hopeful, yet I am always in doubt.
Are we living a lie, yet cannot tell the truth?
Oh my darling, at night I hold my pillow close.
As close as I want to hold you.
I weep.
Another woman enjoys waking with you.
Seeing you the first thing in the morning.
I weep, that I do not share your shower.
Feel you lather my body, touch my breast.
My nipples harden at the thought of you,
Yet shrink, because you are with another woman.
Oh how I envy and hate her.

You gave me many words of love,
I believed them, dreamed of a life with you.
You planted your seed in me and it took root.
You abandoned me, left me alone to face a father
Who did not, would not, could not, forgive me.
I cannot face life with this shame.
I will take our child to where no shame exists,
No lies are told.
Farewell. Farewell.
