I’ve had many a friendship
come and go.
And for most, reasons,
I’ll never know.
Some come with the Summer warmth,
and leave with the winter cold.
Springtime rains bring sorrows tears,
for long lost friends of many years.
Memories fade as does the Fall leaves.
of friends who are gone,
but are never forgotten.
Each friendship is special,
in it’s own unique way.
And all tend to leave their own
impressions on your heart.
Friendships we make remain part of us
long after they are gone.
Happiness, sorrow, love and tears,
are all part of friendships that
last through the years.
Through the sorrow we learn
how special happiness is.
And through the love we feel,
we learn to forgive.
We gain strength through the tears,
as they cleanse our soul.
And we learn to be thankful for what we have
before we’re too old
