In your entire lifetime,
so many people you will have met,
reflecting back you can see their faces,
but their names you will forget.
Very few will prevail a lasting impact,
upon your life and within your heart,
for those who have - are indeed friends,
friendship is a craft, it's mastered, an art.
The ties tht bind are woven,
into a carefully secured knot,
their fibers of steel & eternal durability,
for they're intended to be used alot.
Honesty, acceptance and most of all trust,
are the building blocks in foundation,
for all of those you held in acquaintance,
never quite filled the criteria in relation.
When in time you do think back,
in despair, in feling and fret,
out of the many you have but few,
friends you will never have in regret.
