I am glad that we regained a lost friendship,
I missed our talks and our time we spent together,
I missed being there for you in times of happiness and great pain,
And we fought over things that seemed so important at that time,
We didn't realise how weak the foundations,
Of our friendship were.
I tried to be nothing but a friend,
I offered you advice, and I offered you timeless times a shoulder,
And you did the same for me.
After this time that we did not talk to each other,
Each believing our own stance was correct,
We didn't realise we were both wrong.
And in time our own mistakes and our own wrong thoughts,
Appeared to us and we realised the friendship we had,
Was not worth losing.
Friendship is one of the best human traits we show.
To call another a friend shows us the true face of our world,
Just remember all the times we shared;
Joking, laughing, smiling, listening to each other.
I missed you, and I missed those times.
But now we have began again, starting afresh,
Taking one day at a time, making no promises,
Enjoying each other's company again,
That is the true fruit of Friendship,
In saying your sorry, even if you are too proud to say it.
In saying I missed you, knowing that is what the heart missed.
The truest fruit of friendship is this;
Friendship is life and life is precious.
