It wasn’t right, no it wasn’t right
It was wrong, but it wasn’t a fight
I went, disappeared, stayed away
I returned, reappeared, here to stay
She forgave, I didn’t deserve it
She cared, I couldn’t believe it
Together again, what a team
Can’t believe it’s not a dream
She’s a dream and a daily vision
To be by her side is my only mission
There to care, to protect, to advise
There to cherish, mentor, even surprise
It’s a journey, started and never ended
A friendship renewed, hurt mended.
