You say that you love me
So why do you tell me lies?
You constantly hurt me
And cause me to cry.

I feel no tenderness
You push me aside
You still say you love me
But no love do I find.

I tell you I need you
And that I want you here with me
So why do you leave me?
Why do you flee?

I try and I try
To love you despite
The way that you treat me
With silence and fights.

And just as I learn
To trust you once again
You throw my trust away
And cause my head to spin.

Once again I question
The logic that lays behind
The choices that I've made
And what in you I find.

And as it always happens,
You come apologize.
"I can't bear to live without you"
Come your familiar cries.

Then for a few days
If I'm lucky, even weeks
You act like my Prince Charming
This is the love I seek.

But then it starts all over
I'm caught up in his snare
One day he romances me
The next he drags me by my hair.

Long sleeves, lots of makeup
Visits to Emergency rooms
I don't know why he hurts me
I deserve it, I assume.

I know that I can change him.
It's just going to take some time.
He just needs someone to love him
Everything will turn out fine.

He says that he feels sorry
For causing my injury
He buys me a dozen roses
"Never again" he promises me.

I don't know what happened
That final fateful night
I know the neighbors intervened
It must have been a frightful sight.

Someone called 911
Because the ambulance came
Blood dribbled in my eyes
As they closed in excruciating pain.

"There is nothing we can do"
I heard the doctors say
As my spirit left my body
And started to drift away.

He'll never hurt another
I'm going to haunt his ass
If he commits suicide
There will be peace at last.

Very powerful read, though the outcome I'd have preferred would have been his dying and her recovering her will and self-worth. One other thing, as an example of how to improve your work, consider changing this:
I tell you I need you

And that I want you here with me

So why do you leave me?

Why do you flee?

to:

I tell you I need you

That I want you here

So why do you leave me?

Why do you flee?

Sadly...

she lost more than her dignity..she lost her life. Now she threatens to haunt the bastard until she drives him ..beyond the edge. Well done.
