Fruits of Insomnia.

Quatrains inspired by the poem: If I ... Would You? by Miyelo Ina

Do you yearn, as much as I, to say 'we
Are a couple, He combined with She?'
If I should tell you, how much I want you,
Would you be moved to give yourself to me?

If I tell you, being near you, my heart
Is full of music, singing is my art,
Would you feel it? And Music make with me?
Would your heart sing with mine and play its part?

And if I told you, love, that there is light
Illumining my soul; it shines so bright?
Would you not let me see your own lamp lit ?
Would you keep shining it for me, all night?

Then if I told you, darling, in your arms
I see and feel my life, you feel my charms,
Then would you wrap your arms around me, make
Me feel beloved, protected from all harm?

And if I told you, from your lips I hear
Nothing but peace? I'll bring my own lips near
To yours. Kiss me sweet, kiss me so sweetly,
Kiss me with love and banish all my fears.

I see the wisdom in your heart - would you
Share it with me? For ever I'll be true.
And would you let yourself watch over me?
Your strength's reflected in your eyes of blue.

And if I were to tell the reasons why,
Deep as the ocean, higher than the sky,
My trust in you just dominates my life?
Would you then keep the faith? Or make me cry?

My Darling, if I told you just how much
I need you, would you need me too? And touch
Me gently with your eyes, your hands, your mouth,
Quenching the flame that's burning in my crutch.

And if I told you I have so much love
For you that I could burst, would it behove
You to accept some of it, all of it?
Then I could settle. No more would I rove.
