have I been wandering aimlessly?
miles covered, calendar pages fly.
in circles or straight lines?
jagged path not smoothed by time

looking down upon my bloody feet
lost my shoes along the way
not sure when or where that was
they've been numb so long from the pain

now I'd like to rest my bones
drain the troubles from my mind
in a place that feels like home
with someone of your kind

do I collect my things and go?
we all get to pass away
do I take the path that is shown?
take the time to live today
