Furniture
I met her at Target, during the big Boxing Day sale. They say most couples meet while they're shopping, so we were pretty typical.
At least at first.
She liked to sit on me, at all different times. While she was reading, watching tv, painting her nails, and frankly I didn't mind being sat on.
She wouldn't say a word to me or ask how I felt but when she curled her leg around mine I knew we were a good fit.
It was a few months before she invited a man over dinner. She had him sit on me.
They chatted, drank, flirted, laughed, retreating upstairs together the bedroom door shut with a click and I was alone. At the kitchen table. With all the other chairs.
