Thin lines scratched into the latest clay slate
And unimportant,
Just cartoon sketches illustrating perversion
And decadence,
Romanesque frescos etched on buried walls
And ruins,
Worthy only of their viewer.

Marat slumps in cold vinegar water stabbed
And dying,
Surrounded by insanity purposefully composed
And orchestrated,
The madness speaks lines of literary prose
And verse,
Worthy only of their audience.

Amadeus looking backwards for inspiration
And form,
Building blocks to creations of wondrous size
And majesty,
Squarely meeting in geometrical precision
And harmony,
Worthy only of their lodgers.

Richard dwells on Aryan dreams of glistening peaks
And halls,
Sharpest steel to cut a swathe through lesser mortals
And tribes,
Obliterating anything but perfectly embroidered emblems
And symbols,
Worthy only of their bearers.

Lennon struggles through feelings of disassociation
And deity,
Notoriety stalking the vision of perfect human love
And peace,
Microscopically to dissect every misunderstood word
And note,
Worthy only of the shooter.

GaGa poses drenched upon a stage of sanguine reverence
And worship,
Daliesque performances to educate the nonplussed crowd
And press,
Cubist dogma grotesquely exaggerated in performance
And form,
Worthy only of the blind.

Loved your poem:

Would have loved to have a stanza on Bob Dylan

I like where you take this and how you get it there.

5 for the title

5 for the thought

some of the words could be reigned in, not rained on, as i.e.

" cartoon sketches illustrating " is a bit of a redundancy, and all the "Worthy"s come off as pedantic.

However, the lead lines of the stanzas are nearly all perfect.
