Hidden away, forgotten
Locked away, festering
In the dark alcoves of the mind
Chained away
Hidden from ones self
Slowly seeping, draining
Sapping energy for its own greed
Continually barred
Yet somehow escaping
Forcing acknowledgement
Creating the fears in ones mind
Monsters of the dark
Grasping, clawing
Creating the confusion
That clouds sight
Forcing dark paths to emerge
Never yielding, always relentless
Guardians of the soul
