I slept in this morning, lazing in bed
Dreams hovering on the edge of what’s real
Are you here with me or just in my head?

Waking up slowly I started to feel
The emptiness of hugging a pillow
That no amount of pretend could conceal

So into the day where clouds of hope billow
That maybe you’ll send an email or letter
Sealed with giraffes, their long necks like willows

Soon you’ll be here, the sooner the better
I really can’t wait to hold you again
Me getting harder, you getting wetter
Making love slowly in bedroom, then den.
