where will i take this poem
corner of a garage apartment
greased digits lock door
pounding knuckle pleads
an entrance
dentist chair
gagging self saliva
metal blinded halogen
eyes squinted small
sounds, please
or just a quiver finger
pressing codes
waiting for tones
waiting for the breath
without heat
