Give me an e-break!
And open an e-page
To clear your e-mind
From e- clutter or spam or chatter
Just e-talk with me now!
Your e-jinks have sprung
Over the e-space
But nothing was recently flagged
Between us of late.
On eBay you seem to deliver
All the goods which you promise
To buy or to sell.
On my space
You seem to be open
To tell all of your honesty
and your dislikes
Give me an e-break
Do you thing we could talk?
Do you think you could close
that laptop right now?
You’re sitting so close next to me
No more than three feet
Or is it too far
In e-space terms I mean
To Stretch your arm
And pull the plug from the wall towards me?

Intelligent humor

Loved your concept of e-distance versus real. Very clever.

Guess you can't go back..

Really missing the age of no cell phones, "snail mail", land-lines, and Windows 3.1 George Carlin was right: we're at a stage where there's cell phones, RF, microwaves, Internet, high frequency, CB, etc. 20 years prior, the airwaves were SILENT! Guess you can't go back! Great poem.

I read…

your poem at a snail's pace and loved it. If you haven’t already, sell your e-cell phone in a car boot sale so we can ring you on your landline. Better yet, give us SASE-nvelope so we can pen you a scented handwritten note the old- fashioned way! Most important, thank you for your time! Nicely done,KOLKLORE!
