Glass Elephants, Velveteen Rabbits

In secret places
Where jungles are endless
And fields are ever green
Creatures who know my name
Creep passionately into the threads of my psyche
Entwine with my senses
And respond to the touch of my soul.
Invisible yet so real
Parading about
They entrance me
And rise to comfort me
When the most logical things escape me.
They know me, there
Where loyalty challenges the very lack of
And becoming real was mine but for the asking
I comfort them, and they me
I visit them as often as necessary
Behind my eyelids
And am thankful
Each time they greet me
With their symbolic message.

Indeed, knowing of the nature of elephants and the story of Velveteen Rabbits would doubtless improve the grasp of what you've written; but it's not totally necessary.
