Glass Heart

Tears flow from my eyes
Filling my empty glass
Love has been compromised
And it has broken my heart.

So much I looked forward to
So much I wanted to say
But now what can I do
Time has had its way.

A heart made of glass
Shattered so much
Like blades of grass
Sharp to the touch.

Regretting the moment
I ever said those words
Ruing the moment
The event occurred

Time heals all they say
But can it mend this heart
Obstacles come my way
Can it, again, really start?
