LEMONIA/ F)LIP EDELTRAUD => …AND THE ENSUING SPRING TIME

MAKRY YIALOS
26/4/2012

(Music in SIBELIUS 6 sequence)
 GLORIOUS BLUE DAY

Refrain
This is a glorious blue day,
I came to Makry Yialos,
Nothing to do, nothing to say,
Except, I can’t endure your loss,
I can’t endure your loss.

The recollections are too near,
You come and haunt my every glance,
I am confused, but what is clear,
Is that we still can have a chance.

I’m still in love with you, my baby,
I am in love head over heels,
Life-giving love was ours and maybe,
It’s consummated when it kills.

This is a glorious blue day,
I came to Makry Yialos,
Nothing to do, nothing to say,
Except, I can’t endure your loss,
I can’t endure your loss.

So, let it kill me, I’m not sorry,
I should be happy if you are,
If all with you is hunky dory,
Then all with me is cool by far.

Although I want you to be happy,
And I subdue my heart’s free will,
This thing that we Greeks call aghapi (1),
Claims its subject when it’s real.

This is a glorious blue day,
I came to Makry Yialos,
Nothing to do, nothing to say,
Except, I can’t endure your loss,
I can’t endure your loss.

(1) Greek word for love.

I spell it as Makry Yialos really. Sounds more Greek, a spot in South East Crete that rhymes with "loss".

SIBELIUS 6 is a software sequencer and the music plays using synth sounds but it is intended to be played by real musicians.

Hunky dory is intentional and rhymes with "sorry".

Thanks for the feedback.

Makry Gialos?

(Music in SIBELIUS 6 sequence)

I can see you got part of the joke on mine

is dory intended?

these lines function well in a song:

I’m still in love with you, my baby,

I am in love head over heels,

on paper?
