Light wells on outer edges
Soft spun brown sugar star
Threading all of everything
And everything we ever are

Sloping on our outer arm
Single sweet tear lonely cries
No one hears one way out here
While we watch our empty skies

Ribose and ribald
Our village smithy stands
Those are stars that were his eyes
Candied angels are her hands

See! Nymphs hourly ring our knell
Hark and hear them! Ding dong bell.

II

As we learn to look
To see for ache to own
So are we seeing you now
We burn our britches down

What once was our center
Now is out or everywhere
So, reader, our stars are salty
Must be somewhere out there

In our past we find the future
Oh how will we ever sea
When all of us are as blind
As blind our time will be

For all our charm we are powerful trouble
So our cauldron fire burn, boil, and bubble
