God I beg you stay

I bring to you my sorrow.
I bring to you my pain.
Yet you love me on the morrow.
With love that does not change.

I try,
I swear,
To find the words.
To tell you of my heart.
To tell you of my dreams of us,
I cannot find the start.

I struggle dear,
I know you hear,
The pain that’s in my voice.

Troubled by,
A soul on fire.
I’m left with little choice.

A stronger man would find the way.
To tell you of his love.
My weakness has a price to pay.
God help me from above.

I bring you no excuses.
I know not why I grieve.
If I could share these feelings.
I know you would believe.

I feel the need so strongly.
To protect that which is mine.
I keep from you these feelings.
Without reason, without rhythm.

I know I’m getting better.
I feel it in my soul.
Your love grows me stronger.
Filling up that hole.

Scars that feel like healing.
Closing up this time.
My heart gets ever stronger.
I hope the strength to find.

You suffer me my sorrow.
You indulge my weariness.
If you can, but love me.
Hold out your tenderness.

I will come to you I promise.
My heart held out to see.
Healed yet laid wide open.
This person yet to be.

Love me on the morrow.
Feel me stronger day by day.
Tell me of your love for me.
And God I beg you stay.
